The Town of Innisfil is actively preparing for this influx, ensuring that the area is primed for investment and growth, through the implementation of an investment-ready exercise.  Improving the investment-readiness of Innisfil Heights Employment Area is a key objective of the Town’s new Economic Development Strategic Plan, aimed at enhancing infrastructure, streamlining processes, and creating a supportive ecosystem for businesses to flourish. As a result of ongoing collaboration between development stakeholders, it is anticipated that Innisfil Heights could be fully serviced by 2028. The Town anticipates development interest to increase over the next 12-18 months as marketing and promotion efforts ramp up.

“At DSV, we continue to invest in innovation and technology to offer greater flexibility and growth to our clients, along with a better work environment for our warehouse associates.” says Rob Chanona, Managing Director – Canada, DSV Solutions Inc. “Our strategy with DSV Innisfil is to offer our clients an option outside of the constricted GTA industrial market, however, we did not want to sacrifice time to market. Innisfil’s collaboration with our development and its location with seamless access to Highway 400 fulfills this promise to our clients. We are excited to build our business, innovation, and growth in the Town of Innisfil.”

The Innisfil Heights Employment Area supports diverse land uses, including industrial, commercial, and tourism-related activities across various lot sizes. The area spans over 1,600 acres of land and is bisected by Highway 400, making it an attractive location for transportation and warehousing uses. When fully built out, Innisfil Heights has the potential to accommodate more than 16,000 jobs within its 1,600 acres.
