DMZ Innisfil accepting applications for entrepreneurial support
Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the DMZ Innisfil fall program. This initiative invites Innisfil business owners and entrepreneurs to join one of two dynamic programs: the Startup Incubator or the Business Accelerator. The DMZ Innisfil Startup Incubator helps early-stage startups build and grow their business which helps founders achieve key milestones. The DMZ Innisfil Business Accelerator helps growth-focused business owners navigate the challenges and opportunities that come with scaling their business operations, product line or services.
Applications for the next DMZ Innisfil intake are open from now until July 29 at innisfil.ca/dmz.
DMZ Innisfil will host an online information session on July 16, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. During the information session the DMZ Innisfil team will explain how the application process and programs work and answer any questions. Interested business owners and entrepreneurs can register at innisfil.ca/dmzinfosession.
“The launch of the fall DMZ Innisfil programs signify our continued commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and supporting local businesses,” says Innisfil Mayor Lynn Dollin. “DMZ Innisfil has been instrumental in creating and retaining jobs while driving local innovation.”
Since its inception in 2020, DMZ Innisfil has been a collaborative effort between the Town of Innisfil and Toronto Metropolitan University's DMZ business accelerator. DMZ Innisfil has provided comprehensive programming support to 65 local businesses, educational workshops and events to more than 600 entrepreneurial attendees and business professionals, and helped members secure $24.7 million in funding.
