Back to Search5th Line from Yonge Street to 10th Sideroad will be closed at 7 a.m. on May 27, 2024 to approximately 5 p.m. on June 27, 2024 for road construction.
What to expect
During this closure, the contractor (Georgian Paving Ltd.) will be on site to complete full depth road excavation along 5th Line between properties 2630 5th Line and 2526 5th Line. Working hours are expected to be between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Some work on Saturdays may be required. Due to the nature of construction, loud noise and dust may occur during daytime hours.
Public road access and traffic disruptions
Driveway access to residences will be maintained throughout the road closure. Residents located east of property 2526 5th Line will have access to their residence from Yonge Street, while residents west
of property 2630 5th Line will have access to their residence from 10th Sideroad.
Bussing and waste collection
The Simcoe County Student Transportation Consortium (SCSTC) has been made aware of the road closure and school bus routes will be adjusted. During the road closure, please continue to roll out waste bins to the end of the driveway and the contractor will ensure the waste is collected. Please ensure your address is marked on the waste bins. The contractor will then return the bins to the end of your driveway.
