Town of Innisfil awarded grant to support community food security efforts

Innisfil, ON – The holidays came early for the Town of Innisfil! The Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group has awarded the Town’s Health and Wellness department a $28,561 grant to support the community’s ongoing efforts to address local food insecurity. The Town will utilize the funds to host a food security forum, implement an eight-month community learning series with accessible programs, and establish a coalition of partners to advance and sustain community food security initiatives.

Innisfil, ON – At the inauguration ceremony last evening, the new Town of Innisfil Council for 2022-2026 was sworn in.
The ceremony featured an honour guard, pipe and processional, an Indigenous blessing from Jeff Monague, Elder and Knowledge Keeper, Beausoleil First Nation, an invocation by Rev. Innisfil, ON – Members of Town of Innisfil Council and Council-Elect gathered to pay tribute to the legacy of former Mayor Stewart Fisher and his wife, Betty. A plaque in his honour was placed inside the Stewart and Betty Fisher Family Community Room at the Rizzardo Health & Wellness Centre. Town hosting virtual open house for traffic calming strategy

Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil is hosting a second virtual open house for the Town’s Traffic Calming strategy on Monday, December 12, 2022, from 7 to 8 p.m. The open house will include a presentation on the project, including an overview of the findings from the recent traffic calming pilot projects, and the proposed approach for managing traffic calming in the future. Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil is rallying community support for the Troy Scott Community Fridges this holiday season with a new December Days of Giving campaign. The campaign runs from December 1 to December 31 and offers suggestions of different food and essential items to donate each week:
