Traffic calming pilot project underway in Innisfil

Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil is currently piloting several traffic calming measures in select areas where existing data and reports show high speeds—despite the posted speed limit.

Measures are being tested in three locations: Shore Acres Drive (on-road pavement markings with the speed limit sign wording of 50 km/h), Belle Aire Beach Road (chicanes with a barrier curb and barrels), and Maple Road (flexible bollards, speed cushions and a raised pedestrian crossing).

Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil is inviting residents to participate in an online survey to help inform its 2023 and 2024 budget development.

Every two years, the Town develops a municipal budget to determine the cost of providing services to residents. The Operating and Capital budgets are then presented to Council for adoption.

Mayor Dollin re-elected to AMO Board

Innisfil, ON – At the Annual Conference of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) in Ottawa, Lynn Dollin, Mayor, Town of Innisfil was elected to the AMO Board of Directors, Caucus Chair, Small Urban Caucus.

Mayor Dollin held the position of President of AMO from 2016 to 2018 and has held a seat on their Board of Directors since 2011.
