Reduced load restrictions lifted early in Innisfil

The Town of Innisfil will lift seasonal load restrictions early this year in conjunction with the County of Simcoe. Following a review of weather conditions and modelling data, reduced load restrictions will be removed on Innisfil’s roads as of April 17, 2024.  

Half-load restrictions are typically in place from March 1 to May 1 for certain Town roads. During this time, vehicles are restricted to a maximum loaded weight of five tonnes per axle unless they meet the exceptions under the Highway...

On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse is set to unfold over Canada. As the moon passes between Earth and the sun, temporary darkness will sweep across parts of the country.
