Applications for the DMZ Innisfil business support programs are now open

Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil Economic Development Office is excited to announce that applications are now open for the fall intake of the DMZ Innisfil business support programs. Delivered through the Town of Innisfil Economic Development Office, the DMZ Innisfil programs will provide the essential knowledge, resources, and connections local founders need to grow their business with confidence.
“These programs are another step forward in our mission to make Innisfil a place where innovation and entrepreneurship can truly prosper,” says Mayor Lynn Dollin. “By empowering local business owners with the right resources and opportunities, we’re laying the foundation for long-term economic growth and community resilience.”
Over the past five years, 116 businesses have been supported through the DMZ Innisfil programs and in the past year alone more than 1,200 attendees took part in the DMZ Innisfil All Access event series. Early-stage entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply to the Start-Up Incubator program and established businesses are encouraged to apply to the Business Accelerator program. Both programs provide participants with up to 15 hours of 1:1 coaching and mentorship, curated networking opportunities, workshops on a variety of essential business growth topics, and access to the DMZ Innisfil coworking space and office.
“The knowledge I’ve gained from mentors and programs during my second year as a DMZ Innisfil member is something I will carry with me,” says Monika Bognar, Founder of Marco and Sports. “I continue to apply and build upon the incredible ideas we developed together—insights that are now becoming a lasting part of my journey.”
The DMZ Innisfil fall programming will kick off on September 4 and run until December 11 through a mix of virtual and in-person platforms. Along with the above-mentioned mentorship, networking opportunities, and workshops, upon completion of this program, participants are introduced to additional support programs and resources offered by local ecosystem partners. This ensures DMZ Innisfil program graduates have ongoing access to the guidance and tools they need to successfully grow their businesses.
