Sports & Recreation strives to deliver services that are inclusive financially, geographically, and across all physical and emotional abilities. Through partnerships with leagues, schools, and community groups, a strong focus on introductory programming, and readiness for growth, the team aims to ensure that everyone in our community can access recreation opportunities that support health, wellness, and social connection.
This team oversees programs including summer camps, the Mobile Seniors Active Living Centre, the Youth Connex Committee, and the Mobile Youth Centre. The team is also responsible for the Town’s recreation programs (ranging from preschool to youth and High Five trainings), the allocation of our arenas (ice and slabs), as well as diamonds and sports fields, and facility bookings. The team plans and executes all Town-led events and assists with permitting and coordinating community-led events.
