Background – March 2019 Update

The March 13, 2019 Report to Council  includes an update on the final 2018 Innisfil Transit results in addition to the 2018 transit survey.  This report also outlined the need for a $1 fare increase (and a monthly limit of 30 trips per rider) in order to improve the service and consider adding more flat fee destinations in the future.  With Council’s approval of the Town’s 2019 Fees and Charges By-Law  on March 27, 2019, these changes will take effect on April 1, 2019.

The September 19, 2018 Report to Council  includes an update on preliminary 2018 results (from January to August) of Stage 2 of the Innisfil Transit program.  Town Council also approved the recommendation of this report to remove the subsidy for Innisfil Transit trips going to/from Innisfil boundaries (except to Barrie South GO).  This did not affect the subsidy for trips within Innisfil.

The March 7, 2018 Report to Council  includes an update on the 2017 results of the Innisfil Transit program.  In considering this report, Town Council also approved the launch of Stage 2 of Innisfil Transit.
