Recent above-zero temperatures have melted a significant portion of the snowpack across the Lake Simcoe watershed, increasing flows in local rivers and streams. With significant recent rainfall and rapid snowmelt, the following roads are closed due to flooding until further notice:
- 7th Line (Quarry Drive to St. Johns Road)
- Belle Aire Beach Road (Willow Street to Maple Road)
- Buchanan Street (9th Line to Crystal Beach Road)
- Maple Road (Belle Aire Beach Road to Spooners Road)
- Intersection of Tall Tree Lane & Crystal Beach Road
Crews are on site conducting pumping operations and will continue to monitor other low-lying and flood-prone areas as more rain is in the forecast. Please stay tuned for further updates as conditions evolve.
Avoid flooded roads and never drive through standing water. Use caution around rivers, streams, and culverts.
