The mayor offers a congratulatory certificate to residents celebrating:
- milestone birthday (70th birthday or over)
- wedding anniversary (25th anniversary or over)
- grand opening
- service recognition
- anniversary of your organization, etc.
How Will the Mayor Know?
Please send your requests to the Mayor’s Assistant at email@example.com . Include the name(s) that will appear on the certificate and the anniversary date in your email.
You may request the Mayor and members of Council to participate in the celebration and present the certificate at the occasion subject to their availability. For more information, please see the section below “Invite the Mayor to an Event”.
Letters of Support & Congratulations
The mayor offers greeting letters to sports, culture, and other organizations for their event programs. Messages are often printed in event programs or officially displayed at public functions.
Please send request to the Mayor’s Assistant at firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
- Name, date and location of the event
- Name of the organization
- Any background that would be useful such as how many years the event has been running, volunteer involvement, etc.
All requests will be reviewed by the Mayor’s Assistant, who will contact you if further information is required.
Invite the Mayor to an Event
The Mayor regularly attends events, openings, celebrations, and ceremonies throughout the Town of Innisfil.
For Individuals and Organizations
Individuals and organizations wishing to invite the Mayor to an event must first submit a formal request in writing to the Office of the Mayor by email email@example.com . All invitations will be reviewed by the Mayor’s Assistant, who will contact you if further information is required. Please note that due to an extremely full schedule, the Mayor is not able to accept every invitation. The Mayor may appoint a designate to attend on her behalf.
Please submit the following information along with the invitation:
- Event name
- Date & Time
- How would you like the Mayor to participate?
- Is the invitation extended to Deputy Mayor and Council members?
To assist your business in celebrating your grand opening event, please fill in the following form which will help us ensure that your Grand (Re) Opening/ Milestone Celebration information is communicated to the correct parties.

Request a Proclamation
Proclamations are ceremonial documents issued and signed by the Mayor to recognize the value and importance of a person, an event, a campaign, or an organization for a certain day, week or month. Acknowledgement is normally given to reward the efforts and commitment of individuals and organizations that enhance our community and are significant to Innisfil residents. To request a Proclamation for your public awareness campaign, charitable fundraising campaign, arts and culture celebrations, please fill out the Proclamation Request Form and send it to email@example.com or fax it to 705-436-7120.
