Remembrance Day Committee

The Innisfil Remembrance Day Committee was established for the purpose of coordinating a civic Remembrance Day Service for the community of Innisfil at Town Hall.  The mandate of the Committee is to plan, organize and assist with the promotion and awareness of the annual community Remembrance Day Service held on November 11 each year in front of the memorial at Innisfil Town Hall. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the 2020 Remembrance Day Service will be virtual.

What is the Remembrance Day Committee?

The Innisfil Remembrance Day Committee was established to coordinate a community Remembrance Day service at Innisfil Town Hall.

In 2012, the Committee proposed the idea of constructing a memorial on the grounds of Innisfil Town Hall as a dignified and lasting tribute to those who have served or are currently serving in Canada’s Armed Forces and to remember and honour the sacrifice of those who died or were affected by conflict.  On November 4, 2012 the inaugural Innisfil Community Remembrance Day Service was held at Town Hall with hundreds of dignitaries, guests and residents in attendance.

The 2020 Innisfil Community Remembrance Day Service will be held on virtually on Wednesday, November 11.
