BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED

Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil and InnServices are pleased to report that the boil water advisory for residents who live on Victoria Street East between King St and Cook Ave has been lifted.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has confirmed that water samples have come back and show that water is safe to use again.

On Tuesday October 29, 2019, a watermain break resulted in the draining of water from the nearby Cookstown Water Tower, leading to the boil water advisory. InnServices crews were able to repair the watermain and restore water service overnight.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED FOR MAJORITY OF AFFECTED COOKSTOWN RESIDENTS

Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil and InnServices are pleased to report that the boil water advisory for residents who live on or east of Highway 27 has been lifted – except for customers residing on Victoria Street East between King St and Cook Ave.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has confirmed that water samples have come back and show that water is safe to use again.

Early yesterday, a watermain break resulted in the draining of water from the nearby Cookstown Water Tower, leading to the boil water advisory. InnServices crews were able to repair the watermain and restore water service overnight.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR YOUR RESIDENCE

Innisfil, ON – The boil water advisory remains in effect for your residence until further notice. It will be lifted once the safety of the water has been confirmed by laboratory tests. The boil water advisory for all other residents who live on or east of Highway 27 has been lifted by The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit which has confirmed that water sample results have come back and show that water is safe for those areas.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is responsible for issuing water advisories and as such, the Town of Innisfil and InnServices are working cooperatively with them throughout this process and will notify you as soon as the water is safe at your residence.

Residents should use an alternate water supply or boil their water at a rolling boil for a least one minute before drinking, gargling, brushing teeth or rinsing their mouth; making baby food or formula; washing dishes; washing fruits, vegetable and other food; or making any meals, drink or ice.
