Our Place – Consultation
The preparation of Our Place consisted of three phases:
- In Phase 1, the Town worked with external consultants and the public to identify “What makes Our Place Great?” Starting with the Community Visioning Day in March 2015, the Town invited residents to share ideas to define and influence Our Place. In addition, the following reports were prepared:
- Growth Management
- In Phase 2, the Town took the information gathered in Phase 1 and developed policy options, directions and recommendations to address the various issues. Consultative drafts of the Options Report were released in December 2015 and discussed with Town Staff, members of the Developers’ Liaison Group and residents, producing the Stage Two Community Engagement Feedback Report.
- In Phase 3, the Town drafted the Our Place Official Plan, implementing the recommendations stemming from the various consultations and recommendation reports.
