Outdoor Rinks

The Town of Innisfil operates three outdoor rinks in our community for winter fun. Skating on our outdoor rinks is free, but please bring your own skates and respect other users and posted signage. 

Locations

The following outdoor rinks are available, weather permitting. Check for signage to determine whether the rink is closed due to unsafe conditions. 

Cookstown Ice Rink (20 Church Street)

  • Refrigerated and chilled mechanically
  • Open from dawn to 11 p.m. daily, December to March

Innisfil Beach Park (676 Innisfil Beach Road)

  • Natural rink
  • Open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily
  • Opening and closing dates are based on weather

Stroud Rink (7883 Yonge Street)

  • Natural rink
  • Open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily
  • Opening and closing dates are based on weather

For ice condition concerns, please call Customer Service at 705-436-3710. In the case of an emergency, call 9-1-1.

Rink safety

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we ask you to read and follow these posted rules:

  • All outdoor rinks are unsupervised, use at own risk
  • Skaters must wear a CSA approved helmet
  • Children 12 and under must be supervised by an adult
  • For recreational skates, go in the same direction as others
  • Slower skaters keep to the outside of the rink
  • Use skate aids for those learning to skate
  • Strollers and wheelchairs are allowed on the ice, but please check the wheels for sand or grit before going onto the ice

The following are not permitted on the ice:

  • Dogs
  • Food or drink
  • Carrying children while skating
  • Horseplay, tag, racing, pushing, tripping, or body checking
  • Using cell phones or handheld devices
  • Entering the ice surface without skates

COVID-19 screening

Due to COVID-19, self-screening is required for anyone using the rinks. You will find signs onsite with a QR code to complete the screening. All skaters must follow the posted signage and rules for using the ice, including the max capacity.
