The Town encourages property owners to join the Pre-Authorized Payment Plan for a convenient, worry-free and secure way to pay property taxes.
Monthly Pre-authorized Payment Plan
Payments based on 10% of the prior year taxes are withdrawn from the designated bank account on the last business day of each month from January to May. For June to October, equal amounts are collected to pay the remaining tax balance.

Installment Date Pre-authorized Payment Plan
Payments are withdrawn from the designated bank account in accordance with the payment due dates on the tax bills.
Other Pre-authorized Payment Plan
For more information on the PAP plan see the above information sheet. To register for the PAP plan, please complete the PAP form and return to Financial Services. In addition, if your property has tax arrears, please contact Financial Services to make arrangements for monthly payments from a designated bank account.
Please note that any changes to ownership information on your account will automatically terminate your participation in any of the Town’s Pre-Authorized Payment Plans. If you would like your Payment Plan to continue, please contact Financial Services accordingly.
Alternate Payment Options
By telephone and internet banking, as arranged through your financial institution. Your 19-digit roll number, found on your tax bill, is your account number.
Online Credit Card Payments (Plastiq)
Plastiq is a third party automated payment service that accepts Visa, MastercCard, American Express, and Discover Card.
Please note credit card payments for property taxes are only accepted online through Plastiq. This service is not available at Town Hall. Click Here to pay. Please allow up to 5 banking days to allow payment to be received by the Town.
Pay Your Taxes with Bitcoin

Drop Box Located at Town Hall or Regular Mail
Front entrance at 2101 Innisfil Beach Road. Cheques only please, no cash.If a receipt is required, return the entire bill, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope. Receipts are valid when the cheque is cleared.
Please write your 19-digit account number on the back of the cheque.
Cash, Cheque and Debit Card are accepted during regular hours.

What if I Pay Late?
In accordance with the policies below, “Late payments are subject to 1.25% monthly penalty and interest.”
Paid By Mortgage Company?
Property owners that have their taxes paid by their mortgage company are mailed their tax bill for their records.
Late Payment Penalty Policy
When payments are not made on or before the established due dates, Late Payment Penalty at the rate of 1.25% is levied on the first day of the month following the due date on the installment amount that was not paid on time. Authority to levy Late Payment Penalty is provided under Section 345.(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001 and administered through a Town By-Law.
Interest Charges Policy
Following the levying of Late Payment Penalty, Interest Charges at the rate of 1.25% per month is levied on the amount of taxes that continues to be unpaid. Interest Charges are calculated on the first of each and every month until the tax arrears have been paid. Authority to levy Interest Charges is provided under Section 345 (3) of the Municipal Act, 2001 and administered through a Town By-Law.
If you are planning to make these payments electronically through your financial institution, please do so 3-5 business days prior to the due dates to ensure your payment reaches the Town in time. Payments must be received at the Town Hall (including the Town Hall’s drop box) on or before the due date in order to avoid charges.
Failure to receive a Property Tax Bill does not relieve the owners responsibility for payments due nor liability for penalty and interest charged. As a result, please notify the Town of Innisfil as soon as possible if there are any changes to your mailing address. Furthermore, since Late Payment Penalty and Interest Charges are levied under Town By-Laws, staff do not have the authority to reduce or cancel these charges for any reason.
