Use online voter registration for the upcoming Municipal and School Board Election to:

  • Find out if you are on the Voters’ List
  • Register online if you are not on the Voters' List
  • Correct or update your personal information (e.g. address, name, date of birth, or school support)

Using online voter registration

Online voter registration will be available from September 1 to October 21, 2022 at noon. If you need help using this tool, please contact the Innisfil Elections team during regular business hours:

How to verify your information

In the Voter Registration Portal, enter your:
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Date of birth
  • Address

Then, click Lookup. If you are on the Voters’ List, your information will be displayed. Review the
information and ensure it is accurate and up-to-date. If the information is correct, you're all done! Look for your Voter Notification Letter in the mail the first week of October.

If you are not on the Voters’ List, you will get this message, “Sorry, we could not find a matching voter with the provided details.” Click Register or contact the Municipal Office.

How to register as a voter

The tool will prompt you to enter all the mandatory fields:

  • Enter your email address and phone number so an Election Official can notify you of the status of your registration
  • Select the boxes indicating you certify this information to be accurate and that you are a Canadian citizen. Take a picture of your identification (must contain a Town of Innisfil eligible address, see examples of acceptable identification and proof of residency) and upload it with your registration
  • Complete your registration by clicking Register

An Election Official will review your registration and may choose to:

  • Accept your registration by adding you to the Voters’ List
  • Accept the changes you have requested
  • Request additional information
  • Decline your registration.

We will notify you by email of the status of your registration. If your registration has been accepted, you will receive your Voter Notification Letter by mail by a specified time. Once you receive your letter, you're ready to vote! If you don't receive your letter by the specified time, don't wait! Email elections@innisfil.ca or visit a Voter Help Centre.
