The Clerk’s Office functions by statutory requirement and is responsible for the preparation and circulation of agendas, related material and the recording of minutes.

The Clerk’s Office is also responsible for:

  • Statutory duties
  • Conducting and prepare Council Agendas & Minutes
  • Assist Council, staff and the public through Municipal Legislative Processes
  • Preparing By-Laws and Agreements
  • Recording indexes of all By-Laws and Agreements
  • Conducting elections
  • Liaise and address inquiries or requests with local groups and organizations

Commissioners are available by appointment to witness or sign documents where a Commissioner’s signature is required with a fee of $22.50 plus HST. Town Commissioner’s can also sign travel letters. Government Canada Forms :
