6th Line Road Closure & Temporary Opening of Angus Street

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS
Update on 6th Line Road Closure
& Temporary Opening of Angus Street

Dear Resident,

This letter is to advise you that due to delays with the required installation of temporary safety lighting of the newly constructed roundabout on the 6th Line, the Town is requesting that the Angus Street barricade be temporarily removed within the Sleeping Lion subdivision to allow another access point for the residents. The 6th Line road closure (Angus Street to 20th Sideroad) will be extended until December 31, 2019.

What does this mean to the residents?

 The 6th Line road closure extension is required due to the installation of temporary safety lighting which is to be completed within the next few weeks. The newly installed roundabout will be required to be illuminated prior to the opening of the 6th Line for public safety.
 The Town has requested that during the 6th Line temporary road closure, that all of the builders’ construction traffic for the Sleeping Lion subdivision utilize the 7th Line and St. John’s Road and refrain from utilizing Angus Street.
 Once the 6th Line has been re-opened, the builders and their construction traffic are to refrain from utilizing Angus Street. The Town and Urban Watershed Group Ltd. will continue to monitor site activities to ensure that these restrictions are being enforced. If, in the opinion of the Town, Angus Street is being utilized by the builders’ construction traffic, the Town will request that Angus Street be barricaded.
We will work with the Contractor and the Town of Innisfil to continue to respect our neighbours throughout the construction process and make sure that safe traffic conditions are maintained throughout the duration of the project.
